What you will be doing

SEB Life & Pension is looking for two actuaries to our team in Solna. The company has a broad range of saving and risk products and, beeing part of a group, you will face new exciting challenges, such as IFRS 17. This will require increased competence, streamlining of our processes and the development of our analysis. You will be a member of a team of seven people collaborating widely with other units in the company, such as Finance, Product, IT, Risk and Investment.

There are opportunities to design your role in the team in such way that your strengths will gain you and the team’s development.

As an Actuary you will work with:

  • Investigations and analysis
  • Development of actuarial models for calculating technical provisions and capital requirements
  • Streamlining calculations and reporting processes, documentation and validation
  • Various projects, such as IFRS 17

Who we are looking for

We are looking for candidates who have experience of working as an actuary for at least three years, or other relevant backgrounds from IT or the financial sector. We expect you to have a master’s degree or equivalent in mathematical statistics. It is an advantage if you have programming skills (VBA, SAS and/or R) and enjoy to automate and streamline actuarial processes. We assume that you are analytical, innovative, solution oriented and have a strong drive to improve. You have the ability to work independently but presents the qualities of a good team player. You must have good communication skills and be fluent in Swedish and English.
